Gee, A Kosher Deli In Downtown Tehran Might Make Money Too...

Look, I know Hollywood is full of moonbats. It's just a given. You make lots of money and lots of people say they love you (meaning that they really love the person they're seeing on the screen, mind you) and pretty soon you start thinking every self-serving idea that enters your pointy little head is solid gold. Hence, moonbatism.

Still, Hollywood is a business. It exists, at bottom, to make money.

So why do they continue to make crap like this?

I mean, really...name a modern war movie that has done well. "Redacted?" "Rendition?" "Valley of Elah?" "Stop-Loss," the latest lefty turd that has briefly graced a few theaters? Christ, you had to subpeona people to go to these things.

"W" won't technically be just a war movie, I suppose, but it is going to be an anti-war, anti-America, anti-Bush screed. And it will fail miserably. Las Vegas takes bets and almost everything else, I wish they offered odds on how poorly a movie will perform. I'd bet on this movie only recovering half of production costs in domestic distribution, maybe three quarters tops. IT'S GONNA BOMB.

Because I know Hollywood movers and shakers check this blog for my pearls of wisdom daily, here's the breakdown folks: People who like Bush aren't going to want to see this smear job. People who don't like Bush aren't going to want to see it because it's about a person they don't like, they're depressed enough that he even exists as it is. And people in general who live in flyover country--you know, not in the New York/Washington/Boston axis or on the west coast, and by the way, that's most of the population--well, we're really tired of being preached at, condescended towards, patronized. Film what you want, but we don't have to pay you for it.

But it'll make Oliver Stone and a few other socialist loons across the land feel smugly self-satisfied. And that's the important thing.

Hi Chief. Thanks for visiting my site.

I'm not really worried about Madonna...just thought it was a humorous story on a slow news day.
